Cathedral Rock in Sedona, Arizona is, without a doubt, the best-known Sedona red rock landmark.
Photographs of this location abound and, along with the Grand Canyon, it is one of the most photographed sites in all of Arizona. Oak Creek runs through Sedona and eventually to Red Rock Crossing in the Cathedral Rock area, where it may reflect a mirror image of the rock, depending on your location.
Colors of the sky, creek, and surrounding lush green vegetation contrast with the reddish hues of this magnificent formation, especially at sunset. Many photos of Sedona include this iconic scene.
Photography has always been my passion, since I developed my first print, under a dim red light bulb in our basement, at about age ten in the small mining town of Ishpeming, in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan's Iron Ore Range. This love was also greatly inspired and nurtured by our dear and close family friend, the Family Doctor that brought me into this world, Dr. J. P. Bertucci. I dedicate this website to him, along with my parents, who always encouraged my photographic endeavors. I know they would be all proud. I have pursued the hobby of Photography with varying highs and lows of intensity all of my formative years and my adult life.
