Located on the Malecon, a short distance South of the town square, is this 2006 sculpture by Jim Demetro called Vallarta Dancers. The inspiration for the sculpture is the youthful energy, flowing movement, colorful costumes of the talented Xiulta dancers. This is one of the many sculptures that line the Malecon of Puerto Vallarta.
On a recent visit to Puerto Vallarta, we had the opportunity to meet the sculptor, Jim Demetro and his wife, Eva, at Demetro Galeria at Lazero Cardenas 169, just off the Malecon. For much of my working life, my camera sat on the top shelf of the closet, as life crowded it...
