Description
Opened in 1927, as the First National Bank and Trust Company, the grandiose Wells Fargo Bank in Marquette, Michigan, is a point of pride to the community.
Intended as a "temple to banking" by the original benefactor and bank president Louis G. Kaufman, who donated the land and set the tone for the opulent space that the building today still shines after decades of care.
A coin room has been open to the public for decades features unusual and historic currency from around the world that gives visitors a unique take on financial services. It features a guest book with signatures going back to the first signature by the founder, Mr. Kaufman.
