Artist's Description
The Milky Way hovers over Taos, New Mexico. Taos is a town in Taos County in the north-central region of New Mexico in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, incorporated in 1934. As of the 2010 census, its population was 5,716. Other nearby communities include Ranchos de Taos, CaƱon, Taos Canyon, Ranchitos, El Prado, and Arroyo Seco. The town is close to Taos Pueblo, the Native American village and tribe from which it takes its name.
Taos is the county seat of Taos County. The English name Taos derives from the native Taos language meaning "place of red willows".
Taos is a community overflowing with a long proud history, with many cultures living side by side, and a heritage of colorful people. Its diversity makes Taos a very interesting and desirable place to live and do business.
About Paul LeSage
Photography has always been my passion, since I developed my first print, under a dim red light bulb in our basement, at about age ten in the small mining town of Ishpeming, in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan's Iron Ore Range. This love was also greatly inspired and nurtured by our dear and close family friend, the Family Doctor that brought me into this world, Dr. J. P. Bertucci. I dedicate this website to him, along with my parents, who always encouraged my photographic endeavors. I know they would be all proud. I have pursued the hobby of Photography with varying highs and lows of intensity all of my formative years and my adult life. For much of my working life, my camera sat on the top shelf of the closet, as life crowded it...

Thank you Cathy. A couple more coming soon from Moab. Always very inspirational, peaceful and meditative to be under a beautiful dark sky. We need more places that provide that setting.
