This is really nice, Paul!

Paul LeSage replied:

Thank you, Janet. One of my favorite homes in Santa Fe.

Artist's Description

A classic Santa Fe, New Mexico, home along Canyon Road, with its adobe walls, vigas, corbels and flat roof. It is this classic architectural style that gives Santa Fe its unique feel and atmosphere.

The Pueblo Revival style is a regional architectural style of the Southwestern United States, which draws its inspiration from the Pueblos and the Spanish missions in New Mexico. The style developed at the turn of the 20th century and reached its greatest popularity in the 1920s and 1930s, though it is still commonly used for new buildings. Pueblo style architecture is most prevalent in the state of New Mexico.

Pueblo-style architecture imitates the appearance of traditional Pueblo adobe construction, though more other materials such as brick or concrete are often substituted. If adobe is not used, rounded corners, irregular parapets, and thick, battered walls are used to simulate it. Walls are usually stucco and painted in earth tones. Roofs are always flat.

About Paul LeSage

Paul LeSage

Photography has always been my passion, since I developed my first print, under a dim red light bulb in our basement, at about age ten in the small mining town of Ishpeming, in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan's Iron Ore Range. This love was also greatly inspired and nurtured by our dear and close family friend, the Family Doctor that brought me into this world, Dr. J. P. Bertucci. I dedicate this website to him, along with my parents, who always encouraged my photographic endeavors. I know they would be all proud. I have pursued the hobby of Photography with varying highs and lows of intensity all of my formative years and my adult life. For much of my working life, my camera sat on the top shelf of the closet, as life crowded it...
