Description
A scenic panoramic view near Ghost Ranch.
Ghost Ranch was made famous by popular American artist, Georgia O’Keeffe, who spent winters in New York City and her summers at the Ghost Ranch in New Mexico, from 1934 until 1949. During that time, she entertained other famous artists and photographers.
Among guests to visit her at the ranch over the years were Charles and Anne Lindbergh, singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell, poet Allen Ginsberg, and photographer Ansel Adams.
After the death of her husband in New York City, in 1946, Georgia spent time winding up her affairs and permanently moved to New Mexico in 1949. She bought a year-round house in nearby Abiquiu, but continued to spend time at Ghost Ranch until she reached the age of 96, in 1984.
Although she never owned the entire ranch, she was able to buy a house and several acres within its confines. After she became frail, she eventually moved from Abiquiu to Santa Fe where she died in her 99th year.

Another very special and appreciative thank you goes out to our most recent buyer. This time a very large 72 -inch canvas wrap of this personal favorite of mine, is on its way to a waiting wall in Santa Fe New Mexico. I thank you, and I'm sure Georgia O'Keeffe is also happy this view of her favorite area. Again, thanks.
