Artist's Description

Dead Horse Point, near Moab, UT, is located at the tip of a mesa 2,000 feet above the Colorado River, on the edge of nearby Canyonlands National Park. The vista offers outstanding views of the river and surrounding canyon country.

Before the turn of the 19th century, mustang herds ran wild on the mesas near Dead Horse Point. The unique promontory provided a natural corral into which the horses were driven by cowboys. I have pursued the hobby of Photography with varying highs and lows of intensity all of my formative years and my adult life. For much of my working life, my camera sat on the top shelf of the closet, as life crowded it...
